Do-It-yourself Instructions
Brush quality:
Important: Should not be applied at working temperatures below +5°C. Absolutely avoid frost in the next few days after application. The coating should be able to harden.
Preliminary work:
Clean the surface of grease, oil, rust, loose particles, etc.
Dilution:
ECO-THERM – Anti-condensation coating is delivered ready to use.
ECO-THERM – Anti-condensation coating must always be stirred well before use.
ECO-THERM – Anti-condensation coating can be diluted with a maximum of 4% water.
Recommended layer thickness:
We recommend a consumption of 1,000 grams per m². Corresponds to a layer thickness of 1.0 mm
Painting:
First coat: paint several times with a brush in the same direction (very thin layer, acts as a primer)
ECO-THERM – anti-condensation coating should be evenly distributed over the entire surface
Second and possibly third coat: apply ECO-THERM – anti-condensation coating also in the same direction (brush acts as spatula)
Drying time:
Drying time at a layer thickness of 1.0 mm, 25 degrees Celsius and 55% relative humidity:
- Touch dry: approx. 3 hours
- Dry: 8 hours
- Fully cured: 48 hours
Ensure that at least the recommended film thickness is always applied. The drying time is about 1-2 days. Depending on the outside temperature.
Cleaning:
Brushes and tools are cleaned with water.

Recommended layer thicknesses (example):
Garages and carports = approx. 850-900 grams per m² of developed area
Warehouses with a heat source = >750 grams per m² of developed area
Storage halls without a heat source / cold halls = approx. 600 – 700 grams per m² of developed area

Spraying equipment and theoretical expenditure of time:
Tools: e.g. funnel/hopper guns from Putzmeister or Storch as described below:
The funnel/hopper guns are operated with compressed air. You therefore need a small compressor.
The air requirement is low, approx. 200 liters – 300 liters and 2 bar – .4 bar. Please refer to the data sheets from Putzmeister or Storch for further technical details.
- Connect the air hose from the compressor directly to the hopper gun
- Set the nozzle disk to 4mm – 5mm depending on the application.
- To get a feel for the device and the spray pattern, we recommend testing the hopper gun with water first. By adjusting the air valve you can vary or correct spray structure
- After you let go of the trigger, it moves forward and blocks the material outlet at the nozzle. You do not need to turn off the air to refill the funnel and then have the same setting of the spray structure for the next filling.
- Never fill the funnel full. A few kilos at the beginning are enough until you are familiar with the device.
IMPORTANT: Always study the instructions for use from Putzmeister or Storch or your spray gun manufacturer before you start working
Depending on your skill and application, you can coat approx. 15m² – 25m² in one hour
